Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted {Greek: from.}of God; for God {Or, is untried in evil}cannot be tempted with {Greek: evil things.}evil, and he himself tempteth no man:
{Or, For having been himself tempted in that wherein he hath suffered}For {Or, wherein}in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succor them that are tempted.
For we have not a high priest that cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but one that hath been in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.
And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Spirit shall come upon thee, and the power of the Most High shall overshadow thee: wherefore also {Or, that which is to be born shall be called holy, the Son of God}the holy thing which is begotten {Some ancient authorities insert of thee.} shall be called the Son of God.
but when the fulness of the time came, God sent forth his Son, born of a woman, born under the law,

And Jehovah God called unto the man, and said unto him, Where art thou?
For judgment is without mercy to him that hath showed no mercy: mercy glorieth against judgment.

he again defineth a certain day, To-day, saying in David so long a time afterward (even as hath been said before), {Psalms 95:7 f.}To-day if ye shall hear his voice,Harden not your hearts.
Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Spirit: as your fathers did, so do ye.
Nevertheless I tell you the truth: It is expedient for you that I go away; for if I go not away, the {Or, Advocate Or, Helper Greek: Paraclete.}Comforter will not come unto you; but if I go, I will send him unto you.
And he, when he is come, will convict the world in respect of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:
of sin, because they believe not on me;
of righteousness, because I go to the Father, and ye behold me no more;
of judgment, because the prince of this world hath been judged.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
where they crucified him, and with him two others, on either side one, and Jesus in the midst.
Or thinkest thou that I cannot beseech my Father, and he shall even now send me more than twelve legions of angels?
Him who knew no sin he made to be sin on our behalf; that we might become the righteousness of God in him.
