Raise a song, and {Or, strike the timbrel}bring hither the timbrel,The pleasant harp with the psaltery.
Blow the trumpet at the new moon,At the full moon, on our feast-day.
For it is a statute for Israel,An ordinance of the God of Jacob.
He appointed it in Joseph for a testimony,When he went out {Or, against}over the land of Egypt,Where I heard {Or, the speech of one that &c.}a language that I knew not.
I removed his shoulder from the burden:His hands were freed from the basket.

Howbeit on the tenth day of this seventh month is the day of atonement: it shall be a holy convocation unto you, and ye shall afflict your souls; and ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto Jehovah.
Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, On the fifteenth day of this seventh month is the feast of {Hebrew: booths.}tabernacles for seven days unto Jehovah.
