Versliste
Oh send out thy light and thy truth; let them lead me:Let them bring me unto thy holy hill,And to thy tabernacles.
Light is sown for the righteous,And gladness for the upright in heart.
נ NUN.Thy word is a lamp unto my feet,And light unto my path.
{Or, Consecrate}Sanctify them in the truth: thy word is truth.
ו VAV.Let thy lovingkindnesses also come unto me, O Jehovah,Even thy salvation, according to thy word.
So shall I have an answer for him that reproacheth me;For I trust in thy word.
Through thy precepts I get understanding:Therefore I hate every false way.
נ NUN.Thy word is a lamp unto my feet,And light unto my path.
Thou art my hiding-place and my shield:I hope in thy word.
I am thy servant; give me understanding,That I may know thy testimonies.
Therefore I esteem all thy precepts concerning all things to be right; And I hate every false way.
The opening of thy words giveth light; It giveth understanding unto the simple.
I opened wide my mouth, and panted; For I longed for thy commandments.
Establish my footsteps in thy word; And let not any iniquity have dominion over me.
Make thy face to shine upon thy servant; And teach me thy statutes.
Streams of water run down mine eyes,Because they observe not thy law.
Thou art nigh, O Jehovah; And all thy commandments are truth.
Of old have I known from thy testimonies,That thou hast founded them for ever.
Let thy hand be ready to help me;For I have chosen thy precepts.
But abide thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of {Greek: what persons.}whom thou hast learned them;
and that from a babe thou hast known the sacred writings which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
{Or, Every scripture is inspired of God, and profitable}Every scripture inspired of God is also profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for {Or, discipline}instruction which is in righteousness:
that the man of God may be complete, furnished completely unto every good work.
And ye have an anointing from the Holy One, {Some very ancient authorities read and ye all know.}and ye know all things.
And as for you, the anointing which ye received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any one teach you; but as his anointing teacheth you concerning all things, {Or, so it is true and is no lie; and even as &c.}and is true, and is no lie, and even as it taught you, {Or, abide ye}ye abide in him.
For freedom did Christ set us free: stand fast therefore, and be not entangled again in a yoke of bondage.
