Versliste
When our sons shall be as plants grown up in their youth,And our daughters as corner-stones hewn after the fashion of a palace;
When our garners are full, affording all manner of store,And our sheep bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our fields;
When our oxen are well laden;When there is no breaking in, and no {Or, sallying}going forth,And no outcry in our streets:
Happy is the people that is in such a case;Yea, happy is the people whose God is Jehovah.
Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.
Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy beasts, the increase of thy cattle, and the young of thy flock.
Blessed shall be thy basket and thy kneading-trough.
Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.
Jehovah will cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thee: they shall come out against thee one way, and shall flee before thee seven ways.
Jehovah will command the blessing upon thee in thy barns, and in all that thou puttest thy hand unto; and he will bless thee in the land which Jehovah thy God giveth thee.
to appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of Jehovah, that he may be glorified.
Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine,In the innermost parts of thy house;Thy children like olive plants,Round about thy table.
But he answered and said, Every {Greek: planting.}plant which my heavenly Father planted not, shall be rooted up.
For it is written in the law of Moses, {Deuteronomy 25:4.}Thou shalt not muzzle the ox when he treadeth out the corn. Is it for the oxen that God careth,
Blessed is the nation whose God is Jehovah,The people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance.
