Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus, and Timothy {Greek: the brother}our brother, to Philemon our beloved and fellow-worker,
that I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.
for Demas forsook me, having loved this present {Or, age}world, and went to Thessalonica; Crescens to {Or, Gaul}Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia.
Now after these things were ended, Paul purposed in the spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have been there, I must also see Rome.
This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not {Greek: in.}with the water only, but {Greek: in.}with the water and {Greek: in.}with the blood.
This is the disciple that beareth witness of these things, and wrote these things: and we know that his witness is true.
