And they come to the house of the ruler of the synagogue; and he beholdeth a tumult, and many weeping and wailing greatly.
Come now, ye rich, weep and howl for your miseries that are coming upon you.
And when he was entered in, he saith unto them, Why make ye a tumult, and weep? the child is not dead, but sleepeth.
She went and told them that had been with him, as they mourned and wept.
For ships of Kittim shall come against him; therefore he shall be grieved, and shall return, and have indignation against the holy covenant, and shall do his pleasure: he shall even return, and have regard unto them that forsake the holy covenant.
And he {Or, sternly}strictly charged him, and straightway sent him out,
For this ointment might have been sold for above three hundred {See marginal note on chapter 6:37.}shillings, and given to the poor. And they murmured against her.
And their eyes were opened. And Jesus {Or, sternly}strictly charged them, saying, See that no man know it.
