Versliste
Then they that feared Jehovah spake one with another; and Jehovah hearkened, and heard, and a book of remembrance was written before him, for them that feared Jehovah, and that thought upon his name.
And they shall be mine, saith Jehovah of hosts, even mine own possession, in the day that I {Or, do this}make; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.
I hearkened and heard, but they spake not aright: no man repenteth him of his wickedness, saying, What have I done? every one {Or, turneth away in his course}turneth to his course, as a horse that rusheth headlong in the battle.
On that night {Hebrew: the king's sleep fled from him.}could not the king sleep; and he commanded to bring the book of records of the chronicles, and they were read before the king.
And it was found written, that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king's chamberlains, of those that kept the threshold, who had sought to lay hands on the king Ahasuerus.
Thou numberest my wanderings:Put thou my tears into thy bottle;Are they not in thy { Or, record}book?
But his delight is in the law of Jehovah;And on his law doth he meditate day and night.
I know thy works (behold, I have {Greek: given}set before thee a door opened, which none can shut), that thou hast a little power, and didst keep my word, and didst not deny my name.
For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
And they shall be mine, saith Jehovah of hosts, even mine own possession, in the day that I {Or, do this}make; and I will spare them, as a man spareth his own son that serveth him.
Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be mine own possession {Or, above}from among all peoples: for all the earth is mine:
For thou art a holy people unto Jehovah thy God: Jehovah thy God hath chosen thee to be a people for his own possession, {Or, out of}above all peoples that are upon the face of the earth.
For thou art a holy people unto Jehovah thy God, and Jehovah hath chosen thee to be a people for his own possession, {Or, out of}above all peoples that are upon the face of the earth.
and Jehovah hath avouched thee this day to be a people for his own possession, as he hath promised thee, and that thou shouldest keep all his commandments;
Thou shalt also be a crown of beauty in the hand of Jehovah, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.
Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He that hath ears {See verse 9.}, let him hear.
He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not also with him freely give us all things?
