Versliste
When Jesus therefore saw her {Greek: wailing}weeping, and the Jews also {Greek: wailing}weeping who came with her, he {Or, was moved with indignation in the spirit}groaned in the spirit, and {Greek: troubled himself.}was troubled,
Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this {Or hour?}hour. But for this cause came I unto this hour.
Let not your heart be troubled: {Or, ye believe in God}believe in God, believe also in me.
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.
Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father doing: for what things soever he doeth, these the Son also doeth in like manner.
And the Word became flesh, and {Greek: tabernacled}dwelt among us (and we beheld his glory, glory as of {Or, an only begotten from a father Compare Hebrews 11:17}the only begotten from the Father), full of grace and truth.
For Jesus himself testified, that a prophet hath no honor in his own country.
Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, {Or, Thou sayest it, because I am a king.}Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end have I been born, and to this end am I come into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.
And as they {Greek: reclined.}sat and were eating, Jesus said, Verily I say unto you, One of you shall {See marginal note on chapter 3:19.}betray me, even he that eateth with me.
and as they were eating, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall {See marginal note on chapter 10:4.}betray me.
But behold, the hand of him that {See verse 4.}betrayeth me is with me on the table.
Jesus answered them, Did not I choose you the twelve, and one of you is a devil?
