Versliste
Behold, my servant shall {Or, prosper}deal wisely, he shall be exalted and lifted up, and shall be very high.
Like as many were astonished at thee (his visage was so marred {Or, from that of man, and his form from that of the sons of men}more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men),
so shall he {Or, startle}sprinkle many nations; kings shall shut their mouths {Or, because of}at him: for that which had not been told them shall they see; and that which they had not heard shall they {Or, consider}understand.
Who is among you that feareth Jehovah, that obeyeth the voice of his servant? {Or, though he walketh}he that walketh in darkness, and hath no light, let him trust in the name of Jehovah, and rely upon his God.
This Jesus did God raise up, {Or, of whom}whereof we all are witnesses.
Let {Or, every house}all the house of Israel therefore know assuredly, that God hath made himboth Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom ye crucified.
The kings of the earth set themselves,And the rulers take counsel together,Against Jehovah, and against his anointed, saying,
Let us break their bonds asunder,And cast away their cords from us.
