How art thou fallen from heaven, O day-star, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, that didst lay low the nations!
But wild beasts of the desert shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and ostriches shall dwell there, and wild goats shall dance there.
And {Hebrew: howling creatures.}wolves shall {Or, answer}cry in their castles, and jackals in the pleasant palaces: and her time is near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged.
And the wild beasts of the desert shall meet with the {Hebrew: howling creatures.}wolves, and the wild goat shall cry to his fellow; yea, {Hebrew: Lilith.}the night-monster shall settle there, and shall find her a place of rest.
And they shall no more sacrifice their sacrifices unto the he-goats, after which they play the harlot. This shall be a statute forever unto them throughout their generations.
Behold, this only have I found: that God made man upright; but they have sought out many inventions.
Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father it is your will to do. and he appointed him priests for the high places, and for the he-goats, and for the calves which he had made.
