Wherefore he saith, {(?). Compare 1 Timothy 3:16.}Awake, thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall shine upon thee.
For our {Or, commonwealth}citizenship is in heaven; whence also we wait for a Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:
Seest thou a man wise in {Hebrew: his own eyes.}his own conceit? There is more hope of a fool than of him.
Son of man, thy brethren, even thy brethren, the men of thy {Hebrew: redemption. See Leviticus 25:25 &c.}kindred, and all the house of Israel, all of them, are they unto whom the inhabitants of Jerusalem have said, Get you far from Jehovah; unto us is this land given for a possession.
Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Whereas I have removed them far off among the nations, and whereas I have scattered them among the countries, {Or, yet have I been Or, and have been}yet will I be to them a sanctuary for a little while in the countries where they are come.
Not unto us, O Jehovah, not unto us,But unto thy name give glory,For thy lovingkindness, and for thy truth's sake.
John said unto him, Teacher, we saw one casting out demons in thy name; and we forbade him, because he followed not us.
But Jesus said, Forbid him not: for there is no man who shall do a {Greek: power.}mighty work in my name, and be able quickly to speak evil of me.
For he that is not against us is for us.
