Versliste
For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father,
from whom every {Greek: fatherhood.}family in heaven and on earth is named,
that he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, that ye may be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inward man;
that in the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven and things on earth and {Or, things of the world below}things under the earth,
and lo, a voice out of the heavens, saying, {Or, This is my Son; my beloved in whom I am well pleased. See chapter 12:18}This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid.
And there came a cloud overshadowing them: and there came a voice out of the cloud, This is my beloved Son: hear ye him.
And a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is {Many ancient authorities read my beloved Son. See Matthew 17:5; Mark 9:7}my Son, my chosen: hear ye him.
For he {Greek: having received.}received from God the Father honor and glory, when there was borne such a voice to him by the Majestic Glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased:
You only have I known of all the families of the earth: therefore I will visit upon you all your iniquities.
