but thou shalt surely kill him; thy hand shall be first upon him to put him to death, and afterwards the hand of all the people.
And thou shalt stone him to death with stones, because he hath sought to draw thee away from Jehovah thy God, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
And all Israel shall hear, and fear, and shall do not more any such wickedness as this is in the midst of thee.

Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in justice.
But he turned, and rebuked them {Some ancient authorities add and said, Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of Some, but fewer add also For the Son of man came not to destroy men's lives but to save them. Compare chapter 19:10; John 3:17; 12:47. }.
And they went to another village.

The righteous cried, and Jehovah heard,And delivered them out of all their troubles.
For the eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous,And his ears unto their supplication:But the face of the Lord is upon them that do evil.
Ye therefore shall be perfect, as your heavenly Father is perfect.
Be ye therefore imitators of God, as beloved children;
and walk in love, even as Christ also loved you, and gave himself up for {Some ancient authorities read you.}us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for an odor of a sweet smell.
They say unto him, Cæsar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Cæsar the things that are Cæsar's; and unto God the things that are God's.
