Then Uzziah was wroth; and he had a censer in his hand to burn incense; and while he was wroth with the priests, the leprosy {Hebrew: rose (as the sun).}brake forth in his forehead before the priests in the house of Jehovah, beside the altar of incense.
And the frogs shall depart from thee, and from thy houses, and from thy servants, and from thy people; they shall remain in the river only.
And thou shalt make an altar to burn incense upon: of acacia wood shalt thou make it.
A cubit shall be the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof; foursquare shall it be; and two cubits shall be the height thereof: the horns thereof shall be of one piece with it.
And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, the {Hebrew: roof.}top thereof, and the {Hebrew: walls.}sides thereof round about, and the horns thereof; and thou shalt make unto it a {Or, rim Or, molding}crown of gold round about.
And two golden rings shalt thou make for it under the crown thereof; upon the two ribs thereof, upon the two sides of it shalt thou make them; and they shall be for places for staves wherewith to bear it.
And thou shalt make the staves of acacia wood, and overlay them with gold.
And thou shalt put it before the veil that is by the ark of the testimony, before the mercy-seat that is over the testimony, where I will meet with thee.
And Aaron shall burn thereon incense of sweet spices: every morning, when he dresseth the lamps, he shall burn it.
And when Aaron {Or, setteth up Hebrew: causeth to ascend.}lighteth the lamps {Hebrew: between the two evenings.}at even, he shall burn it, a perpetual incense before Jehovah throughout your generations.
Ye shall offer no strange incense thereon, nor burnt-offering, nor meal-offering; and ye shall pour no drink-offering thereon.
And Aaron shall make atonement {Or, for}upon the horns of it once in the year; with the blood of the sin-offering of atonement once in the year shall he make atonement {Or, upon}for it throughout your generations: it is most holy unto Jehovah.

For there was a tabernacle prepared, the first, wherein {Or, are}were the candlestick, and the table, and {Greek: the setting forth of the loaves.}the showbread; which is called the Holy place.

And Moses said, This is the thing which Jehovah hath commanded, Let an omerful of it be kept throughout your generations, that they may see the bread wherewith I fed you in the wilderness, when I brought you forth from the land of Egypt.
And Moses said unto Aaron, Take a pot, and put an omerful of manna therein, and lay it up before Jehovah, to be kept throughout your generations.
As Jehovah commanded Moses, so Aaron laid it up before the Testimony, to be kept.
{[Chapter 27:16 in Hebrew]}And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,
Speak unto the children of Israel, and take of them rods, one for each fathers' house, of all their princes according to their fathers' houses, twelve rods: write thou every man's name upon his rod.
And thou shalt write Aaron's name upon the rod of Levi; for there shall be one rod for each head of their fathers' houses.
And thou shalt lay them up in the tent of meeting before the testimony, where I meet with you.
And it shall come to pass, that the rod of the man whom I shall choose shall bud: and I will make to cease from me the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against you.
And Moses spake unto the children of Israel; and all their princes gave him rods, for each prince one, according to their fathers' houses, even twelve rods: and the rod of Aaron was among their rods.
And Moses laid up the rods before Jehovah in the tent of the testimony.
And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses went into the tent of the testimony; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and put forth buds, and produced blossoms, and bare ripe almonds.
And Moses brought out all the rods from before Jehovah unto all the children of Israel: and they looked, and took every man his rod.
And Jehovah said unto Moses, Put back the rod of Aaron before the testimony, to be kept for a token against the children of rebellion; that thou mayest make an end of their murmurings against me, that they die not.
Thus did Moses: as Jehovah commanded him, so did he.
And thou shalt put into the ark the testimony which I shall give thee.
And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, the two tables of the testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.
When I was gone up into the mount to receive the tables of stone, even the tables of the covenant which Jehovah made with you, then I abode in the mount forty days and forty nights; I did neither eat bread nor drink water.
And I turned and came down from the mount, and put the tables in the ark which I had made; and there they are as Jehovah commanded me.
There was nothing in the ark save the two tables of stone which Moses put there at Horeb, {Or, where}when Jehovah made a covenant with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.
being made manifest that ye are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in tables that are hearts of flesh.
