Whosoever is begotten of God doeth no sin, because his seed abideth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is begotten of God.
We know that whosoever is begotten of God sinneth not; but he that was begotten of God keepeth {Some ancient authorities read him.}himself, and the evil one toucheth him not.
A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and none hath escaped them.
